I am PANICKING now!
2 papers over the next two weeks.. haven't really started studying for it.. this semester papers r no kidding..
Took some study & exam leaves starting tmr.. it'll be 2 long weekends ahead.. after deducting my sick leave & AL for my 2 weeks MC after the accident previously.. my sick leave is zero & AL is now negative -_-" i hate unpaid leaves....
So i must really study hard.. do my best.. get the exams over & done with..
Time is tight, no more regrets for not putting enough efforts again this time!

Very special cake i saw selling at a neighbourhood bakery shop in Kovan...
It's a cake.. not a hamburger..
It looks just like a mega real hamburger... but does sesame goes well with choco cream? Going to buy it to try someday ;p
Recently adore rose & lace hair clips...
Took the 'chance' to wear the little hat to my friend's wedding earlier.. need to find another occasion to wear it again.. no courage to wear it out & walk on the street..
A post from Celine's blog reminded me of KOI bubble tea.. since all the outlets are so far away from west side.. i've forgotten it's existence.. the taste of taiwan bubble tea can be found here too!
It is much more expensive compared to the bubble tea chain outlets Sweetalk.. but definitely worth the price! Bought 1 for my colleague to try.. once she was on leave and she msn-ed me...
Colleague J: I kind of miss KOI milk tea very VERY MUCH....
LOL.. & she's blaming me for that..
Too bad there's no outlet anywhere near west area.. the 'nearest' would be chinatown.. Me being the live, work & study at west area is so sad........................ Argh my whole life is at west area! Unless i can get the flat at Kallang.. hoho..
School exams are coming very very soon in less than 2 weeks time.. I hadn't even started on anything yet! I'm so worried abt myself yet feeling abit of laziness to get myself started... heard the 2 exam papers will be a killer.. Took study leaves next week for intensive studying..
I know i need to pass this round no matter what.. if not, graduation will be a faraway thing..
After the exams are over, i'll be a happy gal cos i'll be flying to bali for a short vacation & bonus payout will be out once i'm back from bali! How great!
Also, i'll have to plan my directions for next year by then.. but am not gonna to worry abt this now.. it will be the last thing i'm gonna do in 2009..

Much things happened lately, and it's mostly the not-so-good things..
It's like suddenly all these not-so-good things keep pouring in..
Does human really keep changing as we grow older?
I used to call my friends to talk or cry out whenever i feel super upset..
Not so much now, it's like i rather let it be, let it pass, than to relate to others now.. Coz i dun wish to get reminded of the stuffs that i wish to forget...
It nv occur to me that, i may forget for that period of time.. But actually it stays deep in my heart.. the root of all my troubles are still there.. deepy planted.... not forgotten..
I just choose to simply ignore.......

1) A boring place
2) Everything is expensive there
3) People work really slow there.. low efficient..
4) Existed just to 'chop' singaporeans

I've never been to Batam before, despite it being merely 45mins ferry ride away.. and that rupiahs are so cheap..
Company organised the trip, saying in conjunction with 18th anniversary.. but it is actually for the boss to play golf.. However, in the end, the boss did not went for golf becos of work tied up..
DAY 1
It was a Saturday morning, PH (deepavali) and it was so so so crowded at the Harbourfront Terminal.. Took the 9.20 am ferry and arrived @ Harris Resort Hotel ard 10am (Indonesia time)..

Went to stroll ard the resort hotel before check-out..

Reached Spore in the evening..
Maybe i am not a person who enjoys slow pace life.. even when holidaying.. so i reckon i will not go back to Batam again.. unless someone can convince me.. the ppl there work & do things slowly.. Harris staff took 30mins to make a cup of ice blended coffee.. things are expensive.. even expensive than spore price.. A coffee shop type of teh tarik cost $2.50 there..
Once is enough...

Went straight for 3hrs spa appt.. leaving bf wandering ard.. poor him had to bring my colleague's irritating son with him.. the son is SUPER irritating.. the type that EVERYONE dislikes..

The bathtub i hate
It was a very hot day.. all of us were sweating.. i was quite turned off to know that they did not gave us an aircon room.. i quite like the hut concept actually.. but was afraid ppl could see thru from outside as i can clearly see the outside from inside.. the huts were located quite near to each other.. but the spa ppl can't b that stupid to make something that is exposed.. haha.. so with the thin curtains down, visibility was very very low from outside unless someone boldly stood outside and peek in..
I did not really enjoy my spa session.. there was only 1 bath tub.. and i am supposed to shower there after scrubs.. and the SAME bathtub is used again for milk bath.. so the thought of soaking in the bath tub for milk bath when the bathtub is used to wash off scrubs previously and dunno if it's properly cleaned irks me~ seriously..
Anyway, i did not soak in the milk bath which is the finale for the 3hrs session... i let the milk bath drained away, quickly shower and left.. Found bf & the irritating son stoning somewhere.. they are almost bored to death.. they had went for this archery games which turned out to be some crappy stuffs..
It was 1pm when i finished, the room was not ready! So the reception said 2pm.. sigh~ 12pm to 2pm.. Got the key at 1.30pm .. happily went to the room.. tadah~ room was not cleaned with heavy cigarette smoke!! Fed-up.. went to demand a change of room.. Hotel lobby was flooded with ppl.. super busy day for them i know as it's a PH.. Settled everything at nearly 3pm.. Wat a day~

We played a few games.. stupid games like 3 legged race.. but it was quite fun...
It brought back memories of schooling days.. How long have we, working adults, not played these type of games after we stepped into working society?

My luck was not good with lucky draw.. like always.. althou i used to win alot of concert tixs in my teenage days.. But my luck has gone in adult years.. always wining stuffs like bed sheets (thou it's branded type) or bowls (branded type too).. all give to my mum..

Batam is an hour behind Spore.. As such.. i always get the time mixed up.. Keep thinking i'm late when it's still early at Batam..

Check-out at 12pm.. took the hotel cab ($15 per 1-way trip) to batam city centre terminal to collect our ferry boarding pass and proceed to the Mega Mall beside to kill time..

Quick post before i leave office for the day...
Went to Tawandang again yesterday night..
The live band was singing exactly the same songs as last Saturday i went.. lol.. boring~~
Airasia totally pissed me off with their sudden flight rescheduling.. thou the trip is in Dec.. but still the flight change affected my travel itinerary.. the return flight got some delay oso but no notification until i double confirm with them.. the "additional price" to pay for the cheap fares..
Cheap things don't come good..
Going to Batam for short 2D1N company trip tomorrow..
Nothing at Batam interest me.. only looking forward to the 3 hrs spa session paid by company!
Office will be closed on Monday for PH replacement off..
Long weekend ahead.. Enjoy~ =)

So as said, went to Tawandang Brewery at Dempsey Hill..
Dempsey hill is so complicated which so many blocks hidden here n there..
Tawandang here is so much smaller as compared to its branch at Bangkok..
Food & drinks are definitely more expensive here.. Food tasted better at Bangkok branch..
The live band and atmosphere are definitely better at Bangkok branch too.. probably becos of the bigger area size and bigger crowds there.. Crowds here were quite little on the Saturday night i went..
Still prefer Tawandang bangkok..
The small stage for the live band.. They sang mostly english songs with a few Thai songs.. Halfway through the performance, one of the restaurant crew.. which i believed is the restaurant supervisor or manager went up stage to sing a Thai song (he's from Thailand).. and most of the crew stood below the stage and did some movement dance to some songs like Nobody - Wonder Girls.. exactly same segment as what was did at Bangkok..
I quite like the service of the crews there.. quite attentive.. Thou at the end we waited long for somebody to notice us for bill... But there's this crew who automatically handed over some napkins to me when i was rubbing off some stains on my dress while i walked towards my table.. his attentiveness caught me by surprised =)
Many diners are celebrating their birthdays there.. from young kid to adults.. so the band sang many times of birthday song upon requests.. and the restaurant has this big Happy Birthday poster they will carry to you as a 'backdrop'..
Alfresco dinning available outdoor with some nice but hard sofa seats..
